Room 406 Individual Behavior Plan
(School Wide PBIS Plan)
I believe that all children are capable of behaving well in the classroom setting.
Our class has 5 main rules and we review them daily.
1. Listen when someone is talking.
2. Follow directions quickly and quietly.
3. Raise your hand to speak unless encouraged to rapid reply.
4. Respect yourself, others, and your school.
5. Be safe, honest, and kind.
If your child is spoken to about a rule, we will discuss the class decision to interact positively. We will review rules and encourage next steps along with behavior correction. In addition, if 3 additional warnings are provided, then your child will be asked to pull a behavior card. Your child’s daily color card will be recorded on the take home calendar. This does not mean they were “in trouble” or that they necessarily had a consequence. It just means we talked about it and you probably should too. It is our goal to improve behavior and to not focus on it in a negative way. The card pulling system is to help encourage your child to self-monitor their behaviors and make choices that will allow for success. If your child has an issue that is concerning to me, I will either send you note, email you, and/or call you directly that day. Any students who cannot act appropriately using this plan will be placed on an individual behavior plan that works for them. Please sign any behavior letters/forms sent home and return the form to school with your child the next day.
Please let me know if you have any questions. We are a team! Thank you.
